Home Automation
This is where I document the smart-home projects I’ve built and actually use at home — from HomeKit and Homebridge integrations to automations, cameras, calendars and other experiments.
I’m less interested in automating something simply because I can. I want to know whether it actually makes everyday life easier, whether it works reliably for the whole family, and what I learned when it didn’t.

A smart air freshener automation that runs only when it makes sense, using HomeKit conditions
Most of the projects here started because I had a specific problem to solve at home. I tend to favour systems that are local where practical, integrate with the tools we already use, and remain simple enough that the rest of the family doesn’t need to understand how they work.
Some experiments have worked extremely well. Others were more useful as learning experiences. I document both.
